Football Guy of the Week Nominees: CFB Week 3 and NFL Week 2
In a tight race last week, Bill Belichick was voted Football Guy of the Week after showing his excitement for football season’s arrival. Luckily for us, the man at the helm for the Patriots is back in the running for a repeat award, but he is facing solid competition. Let’s check out the nominees:
South Carolina HC Will Muschamp for being fired up during a halftime interview
Nothing wrong with this one. Coach Muschamp completely laid out that he was NOT going to say something that would end up costing him thousands of dollars, and he made that very clear. Now, we wait to see if the SEC or NCAA fines him said thousands of dollars.
Patriots HC Bill Belichick for breaking down the math in order to win a football game
Sabermetrics at its finest. As Trent Dilfer once said, “You can not lose games in the NFL, and still win.”
Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew II for his attire on a road trip to Houston
Minshew II was very, very close to leading the Jags into Houston and stealing a divisional road win. Maybe if we can get recurring guest Doug Marrone and the rest of the Jacksonville team to dress up like QB1, they can go on a little bit of a winning streak.
2020 US Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang sticking up for football fans who may be interested in the Democratic debates, too.
This man gets it! Ever have a time where there is just a total split on your Twitter timeline between a game, award show, or politics? Andrew Yang is on the right track. Split them up and give everyone who may have mutual interests a chance to indulge in both.
